Chrome download instead of opening browser






















 · i am so sick of chrome automatically downloading files instead of opening them in my browser. a few months back this was not an issue. and the browser still forces me to download the file. After downloading it I can click on the downloaded file inside Chrome and it opens fine in the web browser. I've deactivated the download-option.  · HTML etc. pages display nicely in chrome, but when I address a doc file in the web all I’m offered by chrome is a download, not an open with wird right away. Firefox is fine, however (about:preferences, settings, applications). Chrome, extensions, chrome apps, Docs won’t do. Chrome forces me to save a file on my pc instead of just opening it (either in the browser or separately) I've looked for solutions and nothing seems to equate to what I'm experiencing. Its not bltadwin.ru, or jpgs, its many file types. I just don't like have to pick a save location because then I have a file to delete if I just wanted to view it. One time, I clicked on the options on the bar after downloading something and changed the open location to Adobe Acrobat Reader instead of Chrome. I want to switch back to opening PDFs in Chrome as a new tab, and tried to go to my Advanced settings but it already was off for the download instead of opening in Chrome function. Click on the link to the excel document (in chrome) At the bottom left, you'll see the spreadsheet icon as it downloads.
